Burning Sensation in the Throat

This is probably the most common symptom of heartburn. People who suffer from heartburn experience the burning sensation frequently. For severe cases, the burning sensation can last for days and weeks.

Excessive Burping

Heartburn patients burp excessively without consuming soda drinks. There are two causes for the excessive burping. The patient might feel better for a short while after he burps. The main reason for the excessive burping is the escape of air from their stomach, into their esophagus.

Food Stuck in the Throat

Some of you might experience a constant feeling of food being stuck in your throats. This causes the loss of appetite. People who suffer from this symptom often have problems swallowing their food.

Acid taste

Some people who suffer from heartburn often taste acid at that the back of their throats. The faint acid taste is caused by the backflow of stomach acid into the esophagus.

Upper Back Pain

Upper back pain usually occurs to people with severe cases of heartburn. When a person suffers from acid reflux, the acid in their stomach backflows and stimulates some nerve fibers. For severe cases, the pain will be radiated to your upper body.
